It appears real — but has no independent reality.

Not completely real ❌

Not completely unreal ❌

Indescribable ✅

Because —

When light comes → snake disappears (so not real)

But fear existed → experience existed (so not unreal)

➡️ Maya = Experience + Appearance + No Reality of its Own

➡️ Only Brahman is the real substratum

2️⃣ Two Powers of Maya

Power Influence State

Avarana (Veiling) Hides Truth Deep Sleep

Vikshepa (Projection) Shows False as True Waking & Dream

➡️ Maya = Curtain + Cinema Screen

Curtain → Truth unseen

Cinema → False seen as real

3️⃣ Three States — Maya’s Playground

State What is experienced? Maya’s action

Waking External world Projection

Dream Internal world Projection

Deep Sleep Bliss + Ignorance Complete Veiling

➡️ All three = Maya’s magic show (Indrajaalam)

4️⃣ How Maya manipulates humans

Makes a rope appear as a snake → illusion accepted as truth

Makes cinema feel real → projection believed

Creates ego — “I am the doer”

➡️ Action belongs to Maya

➡️ Ownership of action = Ego (Avidya)

5️⃣ Jiva–Jagat–Ishwara — Maya’s Characters

Character Role given by Maya

Jiva The confused actor — believes illusion

Jagat The movie — projected images

Ishwara Director — Maya under control

➡️ All three operate within Maya

➡️ The Stage = Brahman

➡️ You are not actor — You are the Owner of the Theatre!

6️⃣ Deep Sleep — Hidden Door to Truth ✨

Deep sleep =

❌ No world

❌ No ego

✅ But I remain

✅ Bliss remains

“How do we know ignorance existed?”

Because knowledge later remembers ignorance.

Thus:

➡️ The Witness (Sakshi) is always present

➡️ Deep sleep = glimpse of Pure Self

7️⃣ How to transcend Maya

You can’t defeat Maya by:

Questioning (question = Maya)

Arguing (logic = mind = Maya)

Searching externally (outside = cinema)

➡️ Only way: Become the Witness

> The light in which thoughts appear

is different from the thoughts themselves

8️⃣ Essence

> Understanding Maya doesn’t destroy Maya

It destroys your belief in Maya.

> You never truly fell into illusion

Maya only made you believe that you did.

9️⃣ Seven Advaitic Conclusions

1️⃣ Maya seems to exist — but has no proof

2️⃣ The changing depends on the unchanging

3️⃣ Maya = Face of Ignorance

4️⃣ Whatever appears and disappears = Maya

5️⃣ Ego = Maya’s subtlest form

6️⃣ Jiva–Jagat–Ishwara = transactional (Vyavaharika)

7️⃣ Brahman alone = absolute truth (Paramarthika)

➡️ Currently you live in Vyavaharika

➡️ You must realize Paramarthika

10️⃣ One-line Summary

> Maya is not the outer world —

It is the inner wrong conclusion

that what appears is absolutely real.

Witness meditation Daily 10 mins “This is appearing. I am the Seer.”

Observe sleep-wake Every morning “I was present even in deep sleep.”

Notice illusions In emotions “This disturbance = Maya’s projection.”

> Even when the movie stops,

the screen remains.

You are that Screen.

The movie is Maya.

You are not in the world.

The world appears in You. ✨
