1. The World That Appears Is Not the Truth

What we see around us seems real — but it isn’t.

Guru explains: “What appears is false; what is unseen is real.”

Just like mistaking a rope for a snake in darkness — the snake is seen but false, while the rope remains unseen yet real.

The world is an illusion (Maya) resting upon the one Truth.

2. One Truth, Many Illusions

There are 99 forms of falsehood and only one Truth.

That Truth is the Self (Atman) or Brahman, which never changes.

All names and forms depend on it — illusions have no existence apart from Truth.

3. The Nature of the Self

The Self is your real “I.”

The body, the mind, the thoughts — all are temporary.

But the Witness that observes them — that pure Awareness — is eternal and changeless.

Birth and death belong to the body, not to the Self.

4. Why the False Appears

The mind is like a window — when covered with the dust of ignorance, we only see the outer world.

When the window is cleaned through awareness, the inner light is revealed.

Thus, the unseen Reality alone illumines the seen illusion.

5. What Is True Knowledge

Knowledge does not mean book learning — it means direct experience.

Touching Brahman is not through words or debates but through silence, meditation, and inner contact.

When that contact happens, the seeker becomes still; the Self shines by itself.

6. Why Practice (Sādhanā) Is Necessary

Hearing the Truth once is not enough.

That’s why the scriptures prescribe three stages:

Śravaṇa (listening) → Manana (reflection) → Nididhyāsana (deep meditation).

Only when knowledge becomes living experience does realization stay firm.

Otherwise, it fades away like a dream.

7. Science Stops at Matter

Science can study the body, the brain, and the visible universe — but not the Self.

Advaita Vedanta is the science of the invisible, the absolute.

Science develops because it is incomplete; Advaita is complete — Pūrṇam adah, Pūrṇam idam — the infinite cannot be developed further.

8. Karma, Birth, and Death

Every pleasure and pain in this life is the fruit of past actions.

When the cause is invisible but the effect is visible, it implies the presence of unseen past causes — previous births.

Thus, reincarnation is a logical continuity, not a belief.

9. Death Is Not Darkness

Death is not destruction — it is simply the absence of awareness.

As long as intelligence (consciousness) is present, death cannot touch you.

The body may fall, but the Witness within never dies.

Death belongs to ignorance, not to the Self.

10. The Resting Place — The Self

Everything changes — body, mind, and thoughts come and go.

But the inner Witness, the Awareness “I Am,” never changes.

Real liberation is resting in that changeless Self, free from illusion.
